  • History

    The building was built in 1947, as the Paramount Theatre. It was operated by the F.G. Spencer theater chain. It eventually became part of the Empire Theatres, then Cineplex Entertainment. In 2022 the chain was sold to the local landlord Casey Realty ltd. and rented to The Amherst Theatre ltd.
